Top 10 Reasons You Should Come To Calgary This August
#10) Find your inner cowboy.
While the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth runs this year from July 4 - 13, there's never a better excuse to giddy-up like a cowboy than a visit to the Stampede city. If you're a closet cowpoke at heart, pack your cowboy hat, boots and the biggest belt buckle you can find. And don't forget The 2nd Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth , Calgary's massive Co-ed Ultimate Tournament Ho-Down and Slo-Down, June 28 & 29! Yeeehaw!

The CUC2008 Tournament Organizing Committee has arranged accommodations at several partner hotels near the fields.
Important Notes:
-
For the best rates and any available rooms, be sure to tell them you're with a team playing at "2008 Canadian Ultimate Championships"
-
Accommodations are extremely limited in Calgary in August, due to a number of events happening simultaneously. Athletes should book well in advance even if they aren't certain they will be qualifying for CUC2008.
-
Cancellations at least a week in advance typically don't incur any charges, although make sure to check with the hotel you are booking with.
-
CUC2008 is currently trying to secure rooms in a downtown hotel location, but again, rooms are scarce. More updates to come on this.
-
Room rates do not include taxes (GST and Provincial Hotel Tax) or fees.

Once we confirm our tournament accommodations options, we'll post information here about how to get from your hotels to the fields and back again. For those without access to their own transportation, shuttles will be provided from the hotels to the fields every day. If you're in the mood to do a little exploring, Calgary has an expansive public transit system supported by numerous bus routes and a Light Rail Transit (LRT) line.
Stay tuned for more information!
