The Canadian Ultimate Championships (CUC) is the national showcase for the sport of Ultimate in Canada. The tournament is divided into five divisions – Juniors, Open, Women, Mixed and Masters. In order to qualify, teams must compete at Regional Championships which are held in each of the six regions (B.C., Alberta, Prairies, Ontario, Quebec and Atlantic) prior to CUC.
Every year, this four-day tournament sanctioned by the Canadian Ultimate Players Association (CUPA) determines the top teams of the season. On alternating years the tournament is also a deciding factor in the selection of which teams will either represent Canada or their Club at the World Championships.
Canada’s elite Ultimate players from coast to coast will be coming to Calgary for CUC2008. Calgary’s 2008 tournament is scheduled for August 14 – 17 and will be coordinated by the Calgary Ultimate Association (CUA) and a dedicated core of volunteers.
