Semi and Advancement results... PDF Print E-mail

Sorry for the delay folks.....we've had some issues with our scoring software, making updates difficult.

As the temperatures rose on Saturday, so did teams to face-off in the quarter- and semi-finals of CUC2008.
In the Mixed Division, Edmonton team Psychoplastique captured third place while TFP from BC and Quebec's Onyx move on to the finals. Open Division saw hometown boys Invictus lose to Quebec's Mephisto, who will advance to match up with the BC Nomads in the finals. In the Womens Division, the Calgary women, Flo rallied for third place against Lotus --- Flo came out on top. The finals will be an eastern battle as Ontario's Stella and Quebec's Storm battle for first.

Saturday was also host to the final games for Masters and Juniors. In Masters, Ontario's GLUM snagged first place over Calgary Figjam. Fossil took home third. In the Juniors division, Manitoba crew Mofo beat BC's Crossfire, taking home the gold.

We'll try to have Final results posts as soon as we can.  We thank you for your patience.

Busing Information PDF Print E-mail

Hello Captains,

For all of you, CUC starts today!

I'll be away from email for most of the day today, and then come Thursday all bets are off.  Just wanted to get this last tid-bit off my chest before heading to sleep. Keep checking the website for the most current information. Please pass this along to all of your players!

On-Site Shuttle Buses
Each morning, buses will be leaving from Glenmore Inn, Blackfoot Inn, and Mount Royal College Dorms and heading directly to the fields. Starting from 06:30, buses will be staggered in the morning, then will be running in a wide-area loop to each of the hotels and field venues. To ensure you are able to get to the fields with enough warm-up time, please try to catch your bus as early as possible. Note: At the end of the day last buses will leave when full, but cannot return for those who did not fit on the bus. Please plan accordingly.

Mandatory Captain's Meeting PDF Print E-mail

All captains are required to register at the Captain's Meeting on Wednesday, August 13. Come out, sign-in, get your players packs, and get oriented. The fun starts at 6pm, but we will likely be running rolling meetings at 7pm, 8pm and 9pm. Make sure you make it to at least one of these times.

We will be running a (single) bus from each hotel on Wednesday evening (at the height of rush-hour no less) in order to shuttle everyone to the captains meeting at Limerick's Irish Pub (7304 MacLeod Trail S). The first bus leaves the accommodations at 17:30 and the last bus leaves Limerick's at 22:00. You can stay longer if you want, but you'll need to cab it home. As there will only be one bus leaving from each location, priority will be given to team captains.

Questions? Let me know,

-d
